About Destination Gotland AB

Destination Gotland AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gotlandsbolaget AB. On behalf of the Swedish state, we operate ferry traffic between Visby, Nynäshamn and Oskarshamn. The contract period with Trafikverket runs until 31 January 2035.

Destination Gotland AB operates one of Europe's most modern maritime traffic systems. The fleet consists of three fast vessels, two of which are powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and biogas (LBG). In 2023 we transported approximately 1.7 million passengers, 540,000 private cars and 760,000 lane metres of cargo. During the summer season we operate up to 18 crossings per day. Destination Gotland has about 400 employees and its head office is in Visby. We set high standards for ourselves when it comes to the service we deliver in our operations

Destination Gotland has an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001 and we work actively to reduce the ships' environmental impact. The SF1500 vessel's engines are fitted with catalytic exhaust cleaning and run on low-sulfur fuel.
