Medical first aid

Aimed at those who will serve on board ships and provide basic medical care.

STCW A-VI/4-1.

The aim of the training is that, after completing the course, participants can take immediate action when an accident or other medical emergency occurs and provide assistance to those affected according to the L-ABCDE principle, and in the event of cardiac arrest be able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation with a defibrillator.

The training includes the ability to handle and knowledge of administering medications, and operating semi-/fully-automatic defibrillators to improve the chances of saving lives.

Completion of the approved training forms the basis for certificates issued by the Swedish Transport Agency.

Course length: 3 days.
Course location: Visby.
Cost: 8,000 SEK excl. VAT. Lunch and refreshments included.
