Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats
Our training in survival craft and rescue boats consists of a basic course and a refresher course.
Basic course: Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
The basic course in survival craft and rescue boats is aimed at personnel in the ship's safety organization who are responsible for handling them.
The focus is on manoeuvring, launching, lifesaving, a mix of theory and practice in accordance with STCW 2010 A-VI/2-1
Completion of the approved training forms the basis for certificates issued by the Swedish Transport Agency.
The certificate is valid for 5 years.
Course length: 2 days
Course location: Visby
Entry requirements: The seafarer must not be younger than 18 years. 6 months' sea service.
Cost: 2,000 SEK excluding VAT. Lunch and refreshments included.
Refresher course: Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
When renewing the certificate, refresher training must be completed
Course length: 1.5 days
Course location: Visby
Entry requirements: Certificate in survival craft and rescue boats. 3 months' relevant sea service in the past 5 years
Cost: 1,500 SEK excluding VAT. Lunch and refreshments included.
