Information before the trip
- Check that your travel document/confirmation matches your booking.
- Check-in opens at least 1 hour and 30 minutes before departure. Please arrive in good time to avoid queuing.
- Please note that check-in for vehicles with a driver closes 20 minutes before departure. For check-in of unaccompanied vehicles that are not in scheduled traffic, this must take place no later than 2 hours before departure. See the opening hours for the freight office at the departure port or contact freight booking.
- Identity will be checked at check-in.
- The driver or carrier must be able to present necessary transport documents at check-in, for example booking confirmation, stowage certificate or cleaning certificate.
- Vehicles booked (incl. single trailers, wagons or machines) must have a functioning parking brake in order to be transported.
- Unaccompanied vehicles must be started and fully operational. Vehicles that do not start or that are assessed by port staff or the crew on board to be in inadequate condition may be denied boarding.
- Unaccompanied vehicles with an alcolock must be supplied with at least two new unused mouthpieces. Unaccompanied vehicles with an alcolock that have not been supplied with these will not be loaded.
- Unaccompanied tractors, loaders and other agricultural vehicles must include brief and clear operating instructions. If such instructions are not present in the vehicle, it will not be loaded onto the vessel.
- Unaccompanied passenger cars will be visually inspected for any visible damage at check-in. Any report from the inspection must be signed by the supplier. Please inform the check-in staff in advance if there are known damages to the vehicle.
Payment terms
If not otherwise agreed, freight must be paid no later than before check-in
Payment at check-in
It is also possible to pay by credit/debit card at check-in. For late bookings, changes or payment at the terminal counter less than 1 hour before departure, a handling fee of 100 SEK applies.
Booking conditions
The ticket is rebookable and refundable up to 16:00 the day before the booked departure
- For cancellations after 16:00 the day before the booked departure, a fee corresponding to half the amount of the cancelled ticket will be charged.
- For changes after 16:00 the day before the booked departure, a fee corresponding to half of the difference between the new and the previous price will be charged.
- In case of no show, a fee corresponding to the full amount of the ticket applies*
* A no show is defined as a booked unit that is cancelled within one (1) hour before departure time or does not arrive for departure without having cancelled the booking in advance.
Good to know
Lashing points
All cargo units may, for the safety of the vessel, need to be secured with lashings on board following a decision by the vessel's master. If lashing points are not fitted in accordance with the Swedish Transport Agency's guidelines, the unit will not be loaded in that condition.
Dangerous goods
Dangerous goods are accepted for transport only after written approval. Transport of dangerous goods is carried out in accordance with
the Baltic Sea Agreement or the IMDG Code. Booking of dangerous goods must be made no later than 24 hours on a weekday not a public holiday before the planned departure time.
Vehicles and units loaded with dangerous goods must be marked/signposted appropriately in accordance with applicable regulations.
Unaccompanied cargo
The port areas are intended only for short-term parking prior to boarding at the departure terminal and for exit from the arrival terminal.
Goods transported unaccompanied may be checked in at the departure port no earlier than 24 hours before departure and must be collected at the arrival port within 24 hours after scheduled arrival*
* Different guidelines apply for unaccompanied cargo containing dangerous goods. For information about this, contact freight booking.
Collection of unaccompanied vehicles or cargo units
Collection of unaccompanied vehicles or cargo units takes place during the freight offices' opening hours. When collecting, the recipient must have the booking number and be able to identify themselves.
