Tradition and Experience
Gotland plays host to a wealth of regular events and theme weeks. Almedalsveckan (Sweden’s political week) is held in Visby every year and involves the organisation of transport and accommodation, and the coordination of hundreds of daily activities, for more than twenty thousand visitors. Beyond this, conferences, meetings and events run all year round. Gotland has extensive experience in arranging large meetings and the island is well known for its warm hospitality and exceptional atmosphere. Mingle amongst skeletons and picture stones at Gotland Museum or enjoy a city tour that brings Visby's 1,000-year history to life. Adventure can be found year-round in and around Visby’s towers and ruins with traditional Gutnish games, bicycle and bus tours, climbing limestone cliffs, soaking in hot tubs, sea fishing, Bergman guided tours and much more. Culinary experiences are also an integral part of any visit to Gotland. After a day of meetings you can enjoy local specialties like grilled lamb, asparagus, homemade cheese, truffles and our own range of beer.
